My Services

B Mitzvah Studies and Enrichment

Working with both synagogue-affiliated and unaffiliated families, I offer private one-on-one study practice in preparation for a student’s upcoming B mitzvah.

Customized Jewish Enrichment

I provide a wide array of customized Jewish enrichment sessions for students in pre-K to sixth grade, whether it's learning prayers, understanding holiday traditions, or exploring Torah through Theatre and Art.

Hebrew Phonics Tutoring

Using methods like aural and visual techniques, games, and music, I engage students of many ages in lessons that deliver quick Hebrew decoding results.

ABOUT EVE

I stood at the precipice at my graduation from Oberlin College with a degree in Theatre and Music History. I knew I wanted to act, but I knew that I had a far way to go before I could make it a full time job. I thought about other things I loved to do. I loved to work with children; I loved music; I loved sharing love of theater; and I loved being a part of my college’s Jewish community. I remembered that I had loved studying for my bat mitzvah, parceling our Torah readings, leading services, and even writing my speech. Now I had a goal: I was going to find a job in Jewish education and I was going to develop a tutoring method that provided my tutees with as much love and support I received from mine in 2007. I had a plan.

The summer after graduating, I took time to relearn all of my torah tropes and reached out to local Jewish communities. By the end of the summer, I was working with two private B'nai Mitzvah  students, and one family for whom I was providing weekly Jewish enrichment for two small children, and held two synagogue educator positions.  Seven years later, I maintain a thriving Jewish education practice, working with families and students of all different affiliations  to create an individualized pedagogical and topical approach that fits both the needs of the students, as well as the overarching goals of the family.

During all of this time, I have never lost my love for acting and singing and creating theatre. I bring these passions into the classes that I teach: games, tableau work, and storytelling: students even  write and perform their own plays! I am currently studying Applied Theatre in graduate school with the hope to create inter-affiliated Jewish Theatre programming for Jewish youth.
